Technical Notes

  • This behavior-based programming video explains how to assemble simple control patterns to form complex behavior in a robot.
  • Lego NXT firmware updates are available at http://mindstorms.lego.com/en-us/support/files/firmware.aspx. To download a firmware update, first select the desired firmware version, then click "Downloads" and follow the instructions that appear.
  • An update from version 2.0 to version 2.1 of the Mindstorms NXT software, including a controller firmware upgrade to 1.31, is available at: http://www.lego.com/education/school/. This upgrade is only for users who have Mindstorms NXT version 2.0 installed. It will not work for versions 1.X.
    (NXT Controller Firmware is the basic operating software for the NXT controller. New versions are intended to improve performance and correct bugs in earlier versions.)
