Championship Tournament Information

The VA/DC FLL 2008 Championship Tournament will be held December 6th & 7th in Harrisonburg in cooperation with James Madison University. Teams must qualify at one of the Regional Tournaments being held in November in order to advance to and participate in the Championship Tournament.

Tournament registration is now closed, and the regional tournament
roster has been posted.   All teams have received either their first or second choice for tournament placement; over 90% of teams received their first choice. Team managers and coaches will continue to receive additional information and updates via VADCFLL-ADMIN-L. If you are not subscribed to this email list but wish to be, visit the Contact Us page for help with subscribing.

Any questions that you may have regarding specific tournament logistics should be directed to your regional tournament organizer.  If you don’t know who that is or have general inquiries, those questions should be directed to  questions@vadcfll.org.

Tournament Registration Fee
The registration fee for regional tournaments will be $50 per team, due at check-in on the day of the tournament. Payment may be made by check (preferred), cash, or a purchase order from a Virginia or DC school system. Please make checks payable to Virginia/DC FIRST LEGO League and be sure to write your team number(s) on your check.

FIRST Consent and Release Form 
Coaches are responsible for ensuring that each team member, mentor and coach submits to the coach a release form (signed by the team member’s parent/guardian).  Team members will not be allowed on the performance floor without these forms.  Coaches must bring a copy of the signed release forms to leave at the regional tournament registration desk.

Team Introduction Page 
Please bring four (4) copies of the Team Introduction Page to the regional tournament.  It is optional, but very helpful to the judges, if you attach a team photo on the back.  You will turn in one copy at the registration desk.  The team will give one copy to the Robot Design Judges, one copy to the Project Presentation Judges and one copy to the Teamwork Judges.
